NGATEA CLUB'S YEAR.

NGATEA, Wednesday. \t the annual meeting of tho Ngfttca Tennis Club Mr. C. Bertlescn congratulated members on an exceptionally good season. It was decided to protest to the Hauraki Plains Association at the non-presentation of tho trophies won at tjio last tournament, and to ask for authority to obtain possession of tho Laidlaw Cup. Opposition was expressed to the zone systom of playing the intcr-club competitions, and tho delegate to tho association was instructed to advocate an improvement. It win decided to open the season oil November 2. Tho election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. S. Coppins, .senr.; president, Mr. H. B. Sparrow: vice-presidents, Messi'3. R. B. Paul and H. Dent; secretary, Mr. A. E. Ludlow; treasurer, Mr. R. C. Abel; delegate to Iluuraki Plains Association, Mr. S. Coppins; auditor, Mr. C. S. Foster; hon. solicitor, Mr. E. L. Walton; committee, Messrs. R. C. Abel, G. Clark. S. Coppins. F. Coppins, Mrs. Olsen and Misses A. Paul, E. Wheeler, I. Sparrow and 8. Manktelow.
