MAORI SENT TO GAOL.

OPOTIKI, Wednesday
A plea of guilty was entered in the Opotiki Magistrate's Court to-day by A. Tikitiki, a Maori, who was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. A charge of negligently driving a car was withdrawn.
Sergeant' McAlister said that accused collided with another car and was on the wrong side of tho road at the time. The magistrate, Mr. S. L. Pnterson, sentenced accused to seven days' imprisonment, and cancelled his driving licenco for three yearn..
