HARBOUR DEBENTURES.

ISSUE OF £50,000 WORTH. EXCESS OF APPLICATIONS., The Auckland Harbour Board has readily disposed of a further £60,000 worth of 5' s per cent, debentures, this being the tenth issue under the authority obtained in 1924. Reporting to the board yesterday, the treasurer stated that there had been an excess of applications, and the expense of the issue had been only 4s per £IOO, The debentures had been taken up in amounts ranging from £IOO to £3OOO. The issue brings the total amount raised to £500,000, or half the total amount authorised. Of this, £750,000 was for harbour works and £250,000 for redemption purposes.
