AVERAGE BUSINESS DONE

Average business was done on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Gilt edge securities were sought at late rates, with practically no response from sellers, Inscribed Stork. 1927-41, per cent,., were done at £99 10s, 10s cheaper than the last sale a little over a week ago. There whs further inquiry at tho price, no sellers. New Zealand Breweries debentures were done at 30s 4£d, compared with sales on New Zealand Exchanges the previous day at from 30s Id to 30s 6d. There were further buyers at 30s 3d, sellers 31s. In banks Commercials of Australia sold Id easier at 30s. Nationals of New Zealand changed hands Is 6d easier at £6 17s, with no buyers responding to offers of nioro at (lie price. Tho section gonerally showed an easier tendency. In insurance a laic sale fin Monday of South British at 66s 6d, the current price, was recorded. In loan and agency tho B preference issuo of Farmers' Co-opcralivo Auctioneerings changed hands u shado dearer at, 17s 7d.

Remarkably keen interest was displayed in the coal section and the ordinary issuo of Renowns sold 6d dearer at 16s. In gas Aucldands were very firm, continuing their upward movement to sell another Id dearer at 24s Bd. In breweries New Zealands bad sale at tho new peak price touched on New Zealand Exchanges on Monday—9ls. In tho miscellaneous section Farmers' Tradings wore douo at 9s sd, 2il catjier than the last sale.
