CONTEST AT OPOTIKI. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] / OPOTIKI, Monday. A riflo match between tho Whakatane and Opotiki Riflo Cluba on Saturday resulted in an easy win for Whakatano. Tho scores were as follows, 10 shots each at 300 and 600 yds—- : <l4, 46—90; Newton, 41, 45-89; P. Anderson, 46, 43—53; Moore, -10, 42—82; Hepburn, 43, 38—SI; J. Anderson, 37, 43—60; total, 511. Opotiki.—Joblin, 44, 46—00; A. Saunders, 40, 43—53; Andrews. 37, 42—79; Sydenham, 37, 42—79; A. Hollard, 41, 38—79; Lambert, 26, 44—70;. total, 484. WHANGAREI CLUB'S EVENT. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] WHANGAREI, Monday. A good number of riflemen attended at the Otaika ranee for the Whangarei Club's weok-ond shoot.
