SOUTH AFRICAN DIGGINGS. GREAT FUTURE PREDICTED. CAPETOWN. Aug. 13. In the Assembly this evening tho Minister of Mines stated that tho value of diamonds extracted from the Government diggings at Alexandra Bay totalled to date £7,000,000. Thoro were sufficient in sight to assure a production worth £1,000,000 a year for ten years from tho existing diggings. Tho Government also hold rights over other areas in Nainaqunland, from which a largo annual output was assured for 30 or 40 yc»r».
