THREAT OF SUICIDE.
DRUG VICTIM AT SYDNEY. FRUITLESS SEARCH AT THE GAP. (Received August 22, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 22. An ex-soldier called last evening at the Sydney Hospital and begged for some morphia. His request was refused. The man shouted: " 1 will go over the Gap." He then disappeared and later was seen in a tram going toward the Gap, at Watson's Bay.
A search of the beaches near the Gap disclosed no sign of the man.
