•Ccitnin foods undoubtedly cause tho dark stains which so often disfigure the insides of aluminium pans. They are said to bo quito harmless, but housewifely piido demands that they should be removed. Applo parings should always bo saved for the purpose and boiled up in a littlo water. The skins of lemons' are also useful, or, failing these, vinegar and water will do.
