A contract has been let to Mr. G. 11. Edwards, of Auckland, to construct additions in brick and concrete to the Hamilton Hotel at a cost of £17,305. The new work will occupy an additional 180 ft. of frontage to Victoria Street, and will consist of a number of shops, private rooms and bedrooms. The plans were prepared by Mr. R. B. Young, Auckland.
