DOMINION POTATOES.
REASON FOR EMBARGO. TRUTH SOUGHT IN SYDNEY. (Received August 1, 11.15 p.m.) SIDNEY. Ang. 1. The Housewives' Association to-day decided to send a cablegram to the NewZealand Agricultural Department, asking for the truth concerning the probability of disease arising from the importation of New Zealand potatoes. Tho association will also petition the Prime Minister, Mr. Bruce, to lift the embargo on New Zealand potatoes.
