CHRISTCHURCH FIRES.
LARGE RAILWAY SHED. ADJOINING HOUSES ALIGHT. GREAT BLAZE OF PETROL. ANOTHER INCENDIARY OUTBREAK [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COIIUESI'ONDENT. ] CIIRISTCIIURCH, Thursday.' Shortly before midnight, a vivid glare in the sky attracted attention in the city and suburbs. It was. discovered that one of the large railway sheds in YValtham Road was ablaze. At midnight, the shed was still burning fiercely. Some of the adjoining houses were also alight. One of Mie most spectacular fires eve* seen in tue city also occurred to-night when 15,000 gallons of petrol and oil belonging to Messrs. D. H. Brown and Son, in Carlyle Street, were destroyed. Two othei fires were reported to-night, one ir Spreydon and one in Beckenham. One was distinctly the work of an incendiarist.
