ATTEMPT TO AVERT TRAGEDY. SETTLER'S BRAVE ACTION. A resolution placing on record appreciation of tho action of Mr. A. J. Skelton in his endeavour to savo the lato Mr. J. G. Riminer from his terrible plight when lie was attacked by a bull on his farm at Ilelensvillc, was passed by tho llelensvillo Co-operative Rural Intermediate Credit Association, of which Mr. Rimmer was a member, at a meeting held during the week. "Most of us know something of tho almost irresistible power and fury of a maddened bull, and wn can visunliso what an unequal battlo it meant for one man, practically unarmed, to attempt to avert the tragedy," said Mr. James Mnckio, who proposed the resolution. "Without a moment's hesitation or regard for his own safety, Mr. Skelton seized what came first to his hand and did all that was humanly possible to save Mr. Rimmer, unhappily without result."
