THEFT FROM CASH BOX.
"A SUDDEN TEMPTATION."
ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT,
[BY TELEGRAM. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] "WAIHI, Tuesday.
The theft of XI 19s 6d from the cash box in a restaurant and boarding bouse at. which he had taken up lodgings was admitted by Karl Wilhclm Wilson, a recent arrival in Waihi. in the Polico Court to-day. He said bo bad yielded to, sudden temptation while under tho influence of liquor.
Tho police reported favourably on Wilson's conduct durine and sinco tho war and tho proprietress of the boarding liouso had recovered the stolen money. Accused was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
