A tragic" affair, which resulted in tho death of a bravo constable, occurred in the Kritchim district of Sofia. A body of Bulgarian cavalry had been scouring that neighbourhood in search of a band of assassins who had tried to kill the Prima Minister, M. Andrea .Liaptcheff, as he was returning from tho opening of a new road. The soldiers believed they had como upon the assassins and fired. . They shot at the wrong car ami killed a constable who had been escorting tho Minister of Works, M. S Vassileff. The constable flung himself in front of the Minister when the shots rang out and was mortally wounded.
