GRAMOPHONE' RECITAL.
SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE.
A gramophone recital, given in , tho Unity Hall last evening to demonstrate tho reproducing qualities of tho Maestro gramophone, attracted an attendance which packed tho hall to overflowing, numbers being unable to gain admission. Mr. C. B. Plummcr, who demonstrated the machine on behalf of tho agents, prefaced each item with illustrative remarks. The music, which filled tho hall with realistic effect, included many of tho latest products of tho recording studios, commencing with excerpts from "Rigolefto." played by Creatoro's Band, and concluding with tho National Anthem. Items from "The Show Boat," choruses from grand opera, pianoforte solos and concertos, elocutionary and vocal items, organ arid violin solos and orchestral pieces were included among the largo variety of records used to demonstrate the ability of the machino to reproduce with fidelity all kinds of musical expression.
