KING CARNIVAL DANCE.
The Commodore Flag officers and committee of the Takapuna Boating Club held a " King Carnival Dance " at the clubhouse at Buyswater last evening. The attractive decorations of the hall were particularly noticeable, especially when the Hit/, orchestra played music for the twilight dance, and bv means of coloured lights the Southern Cross could bo seen at one end of the hall. Among those present were Mrs. Lidgard, who wore a frock of cameo pinksal in with tulle and trimmed with small rosebuds in a deeper shade; Mrs. Inkster, navy marocain; Mrs. Deacon, parchment shaded lace over satin; Mrs. A. Smith, blue georgette with Spanish shawl; Mrs. J. Mackay, cream georgette over rose; Mrs. Bach, navy georgette; Mrs. Peters, silver grey ring velvet; Mrs. Edwards, black embossed- chenille; Mrs. Williamson, beige georgette; Mrs. Waddell, Air Force blue crepo do chine: Mi's. Gyde, cedar brown satin: Mrs. Forbes, lemon taffeta and tulle; Mrs. Lawrence, eau de nil brocaded crepe do chine; Mrs. Wade, ashes of roses chenille and georgette; Mrs. Dryland, cream laco over crepe do chine; Mrs. Hollo, vieux rose taffeta; Mrs. Woodwjird, duchess blue crepo do chine; Mrs. Briiisden, black georgette with scarlet shoulder flower; Mrs. Waterhouse, white georgette; Mrs. Stewart, gold lace frock; Miss Bowen, maize gold lace over cream satin; Miss Pickworth. cherry satin; Miss Block well, salmon pink satin; Miss Murfit, pink floral taffeta; Miss Jean Bertram, bluo and apricot taffeta period frock; Miss Caldow, sea green floral taffeta; Miss Edwards, gold georgette "and cream shawl: Miss D. Clark, black beaded georgette; Miss D. Mahon, rose taffeta; Miss Bennett, cream frilled georgette: Miss Forbes, lemon taffeta and tullo; Miss W. Bach, orango taffeta and cream shawl; Miss Williams, pink silk; Miss Kins?, apple green crepe de chine; Miss Worthington, sea green taffeta ; Miss Armitage, black panrie velvet.;. Miss .
