THE PIRATE SHIP.

A King's Birthday ball was held on board the Pirate Ship at Milford last evening. Many novelties were introduced and streamers and balloons made gay decorations on the lower deck, where: the dancing took place. I Among those present were:—Mrs, IT. j L. Frame (Napier), apricot chenille and shawl in a deeper shade; Miss Bene' Blomfield, black beaded georgette with blue shoulder spray; Miss Leaning, beige and green shot taffeta; Miss Ashley, silver lame and pink georgette; Miss Freda Crosher. primrose and delphinium-blue taffeta; Miss Heather Crandle, white taffeta and tulle; Miss Bose Wake, cameo pink chenilled georgette; Miss Lenore Dunnet, white crepe satin and /georgette; Miss K. Spriggs, pink lacc and georgette with pink satin bow; Miss Duncan, powder-blue sequinned georgette; Miss Marjorie Woolley, white satin with applegreen hemline; Miss Bell Booth, rose pink panne velvet and tulle with pink shoulder rose; Miss A. McFetridge, amber-shaded georgette; Miss F. Cuhv, mings, geranium-red ring velvet and cream shawl; Miss Betty Buddie, silver lame; Miss Mario Colson, apple-green georgette; Miss P.
