II 0 Moil Star ... 10 10 REVIEW OF THE FIELDS. BY ARCHER, Thera are only five in tho Hunt Club Cup and they are a moderate, lot. Form points to Odin and he is likely to start a solid favourite. Taumai, who rau a decent race on the first day. may also have a following. Twenty bucks nre carded to contest the Rnnfurly Handicap and the issue loo!; 3 opon. Indolent, Tc Money and Arikitoa should race well and others with chances are Prince Val. Palmares. Sea Cob and Welkne. Fancies may take a fairly wide range and perhaps the best backed may be Indolent, Arikitoa and To Money. The Rcmuera Hurdles has attracted a field of seven aud, though the claws is not as good as it might be, an interesting contest i 3 likely to eventuate. King's Guard and Kauri Park should take a deal of beating, while Bright Land, Cybele and Boornerday ale also likely to run well. King's Guard, Kauri Pan< and Bright Laud may be the favourites.

Theie are sixteen engaged 111 tho Great Northern Steeplechase, . and, though there may be a. few defections, a fino race seems assured. Wiltshire and Zircon aro doubtful starters, although it has not yet. been definitely decided that they will not run. On their running in the Great Northern Hurdles Roman Abbey and Kawini look like being particularly hard to beat, while Glendowic, Red Fuchsia, Mangani nnd Wedding March should olso be in tho picture. If he would jump Comical might also bo dangerous, but he is too uncertain in his fencing to be fancied. Of the others Clockwork, Potoanui and Vexatious may prove the best, with Maunga possessing a stayer's chance. Backers may show a, preference for Glendowic. Kawini and Roman Abbey. As usual there is u Inrso field in the King George Handicap and it bears a, very opon aspect. Of thoso near the top Black Duke, Keddar, Vallar, High Pitch and Luoy 'Rose road best, aud of the others Ohinemuri, Merry Mint, Cool Mint, Billikins and Marble King may bo (ho most daugerous. Ohinemuri, Black Duke aud Vallar may bavo strong fallowings. Although he lias a liso of a stouc. Prince Lu should be difficult to beat in the Panmure Hurdles and will probably start favourite. Golden Wedding, who was going woll when she fell 011 tho opening day, and Overhaul may also bo in demand. Tho Carbine Plate, an event lor gentlemen riders, promises to bo an interesting contest. The crack amateur, Mr. J. Morris, rill steer Archeria, und that will ensure his mount having a strong following. Maori Boy reads well in and will only have to repeat his first day's form to win. Others with chances are Otairi, Hakanoa and Glenn Bay. Maori Boy may bo favourite, with Otairi aud Hakanoa also well supported.
