DELIVERY OF MILK.

ROUNDSMEN'S CONDITIONS.

SIX-DAY WEEK WANTED. A special meeting of Auckland milk roundsmen was held at the Trades Hall yesterday afternoon. The vice-president of the men's union, Mr. T. Doherty, presided. The new award framed to cover Auckland milk roundsmen was discussed, objection being taken to the refusal of the Arbitration Court to grant a six-day week instead of the seven-day week at present operating in Auckland. A resolution was passed to the. effect that the meeting protested against the seven-day week, and against the policy and decision of the Court in refusingto grant a six-day week. The resolution also drew the attention of trades unionists to the Court's policy in refusing to increase wages. The advisability _of adopting the cooperative milk delivery system was deferred for discussion at a future meeting.
