WHY NOT A FATHER'S DAY?
Sir, —What has father dono that ho is not remembered and honoured by a special day ? Tho average man is a fond and good father. " Dad-dad "is often tho first word of a baby's vocabulary and " clapping hands for daddy " invariably tho first accomplishment, and father it is who helps the little feet to walk. For many years ho must earn tho wherewithal to feed and clothe the children. Ho gets tired very - often, but cannot afford to sit back and rest until ho is quite old, and often not then. No one begrudges mofiher her well merited "day" with its white flower of remembrance, but cannot a flower of some kind be found for falher or even a bouquet, or perhaps a " parent's day " would be fairer. Dauguter.
