MAWSON'S EXPEDITION.
SCIENTISTS FROM DOMINION. REQUEST BEING CONSIDERED. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON. May 9. In an interview Sir Douglas Mawson, who is working at Australia House, said he liad just received from the New Zealand Government a request to him to include two New Zealand scientists in his expedition to the Antarctic. Sir Douglas says he is giving the names suggested most careful consideration. About 1000 similar applications had been received, but 110 appointments had as yet been made. The plans on the Discovery are well in hand. The expedition will leave in the full belief that it has the moral and financial support of the people of Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
