HOSPITAL AT WELLINGTON. [RY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Thursday, "For some weeks, by the readjustment of the hours of service of the uursing staff, nurses have been getting a day off a week. This we hope to continue," said the chairman of the Wellington Hospital Board at a meeting yesterday. In outlining the new works to be undertaken, the chairman remarked that a word should be said concerning the necessity for further addition to the nurses' home, consequent upon the general expansion and the effort to enable the nurses to enjoy a day off from their trying condi tions of service. He recalled that the Government, had urged upon all hospitals that where possible the staff should be given a day off a week.
