PRESENTATIONS.
A silver cigarette canister was presented to Mr. R. W. Simson at a gathering of tho Te Awamutu branch of the Farmers' Union at the week-end. Mr. Simson is leaving to reside in England. In making tho presentation, the chairman, Mr. J. G. Wynyard, referred to the good work done by Mr. Simson in advancing the interests of the community, and wished both him and Mrs. Simson success in their new sphero. Aa a social at Hamilton on Saturday evening, Mr. F. W. Schramm, Labour candidate for the electorate at the last election, was presented with a travelling rug. Mr. W. H. Johnstone, divisional chairman of the Labour Representation Committee, paid tribute to tho strenuous efforts made by Mr. Schramm at the election. Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Labour Party, and Mr. W. Lee Martin, M.P. for Raglan, ' wero also present. Mrst Schramm was presented with a silver salad bowl.
