AUCKLAND CLUB.
The Auckland Cycle Club opened its road season at Mangere on Saturday afternoon in beautiful weather Tho raco was a 134 miles open handicap, two laps of the Mangoro circuit. Twenty-one ridora faced tho starter. The result was as follows:—N. Whyto (4m), 1: H. Leo (4ni), 2; li. Potter <l{m), 3: S. Hayes (scr), 4. Fastest time was registered by S. Hayes, who did 3Um 2s.
■ The density of the traffic proceeding to the aerodrome interfered considerably with the progress of tho riders, and several retired through this.
MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB.
ROAD RACES POSTPONED,
The Manukau Amateur Cycling Club intended holding two road races at Mangero on Saturday afternoon. but tho great volumo of traffic on tho way to tho aerodromo caused a postponement of the events.
