MELANESIA MISSION.
WORKERS LEAVE TO-MORROW.
DISMISSAL SERVICE HELD
A dismissal service and celebration of Holy Communion for the missionaries who will" leave bv the Southern Cross to-mor-row for the diocese of Melanesia was held at St. Mary's Cathedral yesterday morning. The service was conducted by Archbishop Averill, who wished the missionaries and others engaged in mission work God speed. At the conclusion of the service the party was entertained to morning tea by Mrs. Averill at Bishopscourt.
Bishop Molyneux, who will leave by tho Southern Cross, will visit the various outposts of his diocese, and will then take up temporary residence at Siota, the headquarters of the Melanesian Mission in the Solomon Islands, where he will remain until about the end of the year. Other passengers by the Southern Cross will be Sister Gwen and Sister Margaret, two members ot an English sisterhood, who will be engaged principally in teaching and missionary work. lhe Rev. C. Rawson is returning to his work at Aoba in the New Hebrides, and the Rev. R. P. Fallows, of England, will bo stationed at Maravovo, in the Solomons. Miss Nellie Williams, of Melbourne, will return from her furlough to mission work in the New Hebrides, and the Ilev. A. Milne and Mrs. Milne, oi the Presbyterian Mission, will travel to the New Hebrides on the Southern Cross as the guests of Bishop Molyneux. Two carpenters, Messrs. 11. H. Scaton and A. If. Fletcher, will proceed to the island of Malaita to build a new hospital. Mr. S. G. Walk ins, secretary to Bishop Molyneux, and Mrs. Wat kins, will also be passengers by the Southern Cross.
