MILITARY CEREMONIAL.

TROOPING OF THE COLOURS. THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT. One of the most picturesque military ceremonial parades ever held in Auckland will take place in the Domain on Sunday, April 21, when new colours will be presented to the Auckland Regiment and received by" the Ist Battalion. The ceremony of trooping the colours is one of the most involved and impressive of all military ceremonial, and it occupies about an hour and a-quarter. The new colours will be presented by the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and consecrated by Archbishop Averill. Lieut.-Colonel T. H. Dawson, C.M.G., will be in command of the battalion, and special rehearsals are now being conducted in th© intricate movements upon which the success of the ceremony depends. It is estimated that about 800 territorials will be on parade, and the escort will be provided by C Company, which is comprised of University and Training College students.
