DUNEDIN, Thursday That too frequent changes were made in school books and that it was undesirable that school inspectors should bo permitted to hold shares in printing funis publishing school books were two statements made at tho quarterly meeting of tho School Committees' Association tonight. The matter was introduced in ft letter from tho secretary of the St. Clair School Committee, who said it. seemed as if they were never going< to l'cacii finality. The chairman, Mr. R. Armit, said tho association was powerless to do anything, but it was in sympathy with the protest. Mr. H. Hal lid ay said ho was strongly opposed to any exploitation of school books by printers. Ho was also opposed to any inspector in New Zealand being a shareholder in a printing firm wine, was turning out school books.
