CHRISTIAN CONVENTION.

MEETINGS IN AUCKLAND. The half-yearly Auckland Christian Convention commenced in Scots Hall yesterday, and will be continued daily until Monday evening. A series of special meetings is being held, at which subjects of deep importance in present-day church circles are dealt with by many prominent speakers, including Dr. W. 11. Pettit and Messrs. W. R. Wilson and C. J. Rolls. Reports of missionary work in New Zealand will bo given by Mr. G. Menzies, who lias worked for many years in this Dominion, and activities at Home will be dealt with by Mr. J. Spottiswoode, who recently returned from n visit to the Old Country.
