WOMAN PATIENT'S ORDEAL
WANDERED FROM HOSPITAL. MISSING FOR THIRTY HO'JRS. [by telegraph.—own correspondknt.l NEW PLYMOUTH. Friday. A woman patient who disappeared from the New Plymouth Hospital at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday, was found at the back of Mr. W. H. Bishop's farm, Mangorei Road, this morning. Sho was still clad only in her night attiro and was in a very exhausted condition, her legs and feet being much swollen and scratched. In a straight lino sho had travelled a distance of about four miles from tho institution in the 30 hours she had been missing but it is probable that actually sho had wandered much further than that. Sho had been a patient at Opunako. but had been removed to New Plymouth.' Sho was returned to the hospital in the ambulance.
