LONDON, Feb. 3.
A White Paper issued by thd Air, Ministry discloses the fact that the Government has agreed to subsidise for 10 years the National flying services of which Sir Alan Cobham is director. Tbo object is to encourage the training of pilots throughout Britain, and the construction of British aircraft and equipment.
A grant of £lO for the first three years and £5 after that will be payable in. respect of each member of a flying club who qualifies for the issue or renewal of a pilot's licence on British-made and registered aircraft. It is provided thgifc the total grant shall not exceed £15,000 a year for the first three years and £7500 after that. The company undertakes to construct and to maintain 20 aerodromes and 80 landing grounds within three years.
