TRAGIC CAR ACCIDENT.

TWO LITTLE GIRLS KILLED. PATHETIC SCENE AT INQUEST. SYDNEY. Feb. 2. There was a pathetic scene at the inquest concerning tho deaths of tho two little girls who wero killed on Januai-y 23 through running across a street and being run over by a motor-car. Tho coroner found that the occurrence was purely accidental.

Gordon McDonald, a warehouseman, who was the driver of tho car concerned, was visibly affected at the dose of his evidence, as was the children's father, Charles Williams, a labourer.

Mr. McDonald, with his head bowed, walked across to tho father and shook his hand in silence.
