PACIFICATION OF FRONTIER. GREAT PROGRESS REPORTED. (Received January 12. 12.30 a.m.) United Service. DELHI, Jan. 11. The annual report of the North-Western Frontier Province shows the immense progress of pacification as the result of the British policy of peaceful penetration through the extension of first-class roads. Mr. Bolton, the Chief Commissioner says: " Nothing is more symbolical of the change in the tribesmen's point of view than the increasing requests for Government. intervention in purely tribal matters. "The Mahsud women value the advantages of the Pax Britannica, as it reduces crime and border feuds, apd saves their men folk from being caniers.
