SEVERAL HOSPITAL CAR KNOCKS DOWN TWO MEN® BOTH ALIGHTING FROM TRAM. K . When alighting from a tram on the Great South Road at about six o'clock last evening two men, Mr. G. H. Little of 34, Home Street, Grey Lynn, and Mr' J. Kane, of 2, King Street, Archhill, We re knocked down by a passing motorist. Both men were taken to the Auckland Hospital",' by the St. John Ambulance. It W as found that Mr. Little, who was practi- ' cally unconscious, had sustained a f rac . tura of* the skull. After receiving attention for an injured knee Mr. Kane w«j able to go home. . As the result of a fall from a bicycle on the Great North Road shortly befora seven o'clock last evening, Dennis Leanane, aged 18, of 42, Miller Road, Point Chevalier, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital with head injuries. His condition is not considered -to be serious. Head injuries were sustained by Ernest William Archer, agtd 16, of 79, Ardmora Road, Heme Bay, through a collision with a motor-lorry when cycling down College Hill yesterday morning. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, ■where his condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. The bursting of a front tyre caused a car belonging to Mr. A. Graven, of Avondale, and driven by Mr. Jack Stanley, to collide with a telegraph post at the corner of Brown Street and the Great North Road late on Thursday afternoon. The driver was not hurt, but ooe wheel of the car was completely smashed. Ths front mudguards and radiator were dented.
