A PRETTY BEACH HAT.
CAN BE MADE AT HOME. A rainbow hat for the beach or country is an attractive renovation that can be carried out at iiomc. \ discarded bang kok and an espatra shape lend themselves particularly well to tlio paintbrush, owing to their smooth surface. Three bottles of ink in three of »the primary colours, such as yellow, red and blue, are needed. The ink should bo [loured in separate saucers and diluted with water. Before applying the paint, the hat should be washed with water, then the colour applied in uneven patches. Red should bo placed near the yellow, so that an orange is formed, and the blue near the yellow to form a dull green.
