A Christmas Wish.
Most of us love Christmas. It has a sentiment peculiarly its own. Sometimes, as we grow older, familiarity with its recurring customs is apt to dull the edge of its significance. Yet, deep down in our hearts, we are glad to give it welcome, for, to the majority of folk, it brings gladness, and revelry—and love. It is the period of the year when we are not afraid to be tender and humble. We even acknowledge our humanity and make sincere obeisance to that love of our fellows which we are told inspires all splendid living. But it is those who lie upon sick beds to whom we turn with special tenderness of thought and wish at this season of the year. To them we speed our best wishes for painless hours and a quick recovery. And to all my readers, everywhere, 1 wish a Happy Xmas and a Glad New Year. The Lady Editor.
