OBITUARY.
MR. RICHARD TEECE.
PROMINENT INSURANCE MANAGER SYDNEY. Dec. 14. Tho death has occurred of Mr. Richard Teecc, well known throughout Australia and New Zealand as general manager of ilio Australian Mutual Provident Society. Deceased had a world-wide reputation as an actuary.
The late Mr. Richard Teecc, who was 81 years of age, was born at Paihia, Bay of Islands. Ho went to Sydney as a boy and joined tho Australian Mutual Provident Society 60 vears ago. Ho studied for actuarial examinations and early in his career he became a fully-qualified actuary. On the death of Mr. M. A. Black ho was appointed actuary to the society. Soon afterwards ho became secretary and actuary, and later general manager, Mr. Teeco was generally regarded as one. of tho most able financiers in Australia He was interested in all sports, particularly cricket, and was president, of tho New South Wales Cricket Association for many years.
