MATAMATA HIGHWAYS.
BITUMINISING CONTRACTS.
EXPENDITURE OF £25,000. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] MATAMATA. Friday. The Matamata County Council to-day accepted tenders by Bray and Company for bituminising the main highway from Te Poi to Hinuera, seven miles, at £9913, and from Putaruru to Arapuni, £14,708. Both tenders wore within a few pounds of the estimates of the engineer, Mr. D. E. Fitzgerald.
