BUTTER-FAT PAYMENTS.
PROGRESS IN NOVEMBER. INCREASE IN DISTRIBUTIONS. BAY OF PLENTY ASSOCIATION. [nv TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TF. PUKE. Friday The Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Association, Te Puke, will pay out £27,403 to suppliers on December 20 for the November supply of butter-fat. Last December the pay-out amounted to £22.129.
The total paid to suppliers this year from .Inly 1 amounts to £/9.533, while for the corresponding period last year £61,274 was paid. Tho quantity of butter manufactured this year from July 1 to tho end of November totalled tons, against tons to tho corresponding date last season. The increase this year is equal to 20.9 per cent.
NORFOLK AND KAKEPUKU.
RATE OF ADVANCE MAINTAINED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Friday. An advance of Is 6d per lb. on butterfat supplied during November for cheesemaking will be made by tho Kakepuku Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., the total distribution being £1993. Last season the payout for November was at the same rate, the total distribution being £1929. The Norfolk Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., will make an advance to sup pliers 011 butter-fat for cheese-making of Is 6d per lb., tho aggregate being £4470. A similar advance was made in Novcm ber, 1927. when £4231 was paid out. TATUA AND SUNNY PARK. GOOD MONTH FOR SUPPLIERS. The Sunny Park Co-operat.ivo Dairy Company, Ltd., will make an advance to suppliers of Is 6d for butter-fat for cheesemaking and Is 4d for buttermaking, compared with Is 5d and Is 4Jd for the same month last year. A distribution of £5820 for the month will bo made, against £4113 for November last year. THE WHANGAROA COMPANY. CONTINUATION OF PROGRESS. The Whang* roa Co-operative Dairy Company reports an increase of over five tons of butter for November, making a total increase of over 16 tons so far this season. The payout is at the rate of Is 4£d per lb. for finest butter-fat and Is 4d for first grade. The peak period has been reached, but good showers have fallen recently, and the supply is expected to be maintained. TE AWAMUTTJ CO-OPERATIVE. HIGHER OUTPUT AND RETURNS. The Te Awamutti Co-operalivo Dairy Company, Ltd., manufactured 114 tons 14cwt. of butter during November, the quantity made during the corresponding month last year being tons. The output for the season to date is 343 tons, Compared with 215 tons, for the same period of last year—an increase of 60 per cent. The company is making a cash advance on Decembei 20 of Is 5d per lb. for finest butter-fat supplied in November and shareholders will be credited with an additional The total cash payment for the month is £14,888, compared with £9035 for November last year, when the rate of advance was Is 4d. The total cash payment .for the season to date is £45,474, compared with £27,289 for the same period last year. The flush of supply was reached in this district during the last 10 days of November and a slight decline has been evident this month. Tho recent rains, however, have already had a highly beneficial effect and butter-fat production should remain fairly steady during the month. A bountiful growth, combined with a buoyant butter market in London, makes dairy farmers hero optimistic of breaking all previous records for butterfat production and financial returns.
