COMMUNICATION QUESTION. WIRELESS TELEPHONY TOO DEAR. Australian Press Association—United Service LONDON, Nor. 27. The Postmaster-General, Sir. William Mitchell Thomson, was asked in the House of Commons whether wireless telephony is likely to be adopted to connect outlying islands. In reply he said experiment s with the apparatus were being conducted, but at present there was 110 system capable of being worked at a cost which would justify communication with islands.
