ONEHUNGA DISTURBANCE.
CHARGES AGAINST TAILOR.
A disturbance in which he was involved outside tho Onehunga Post . Office on Tuesday evening resulted in tho appearance of Leonard C. Otten, tailor, in tho Onehunga Police Court- yesterday before Messrs. J. E. Cowell and F. C. Soar, J.P.'s. For using obscene language ho was fined £5, in default 14 days' imprisonment, and for obtaining liquor during (lie currency of a prohibition order ho was remanded to appear beforo a magistrate next Monday. Ho was allowed 14 days in which to pay the fine.
" lln shouted like a mad bull for hours after lie, was locked up last night for drunkenness,"#said Sergeant J. A. Cruickshank. "Ho began liis shouting outside the post oflice, and when taken into custody lost all control of himself and refused to he searched. lie found himself on (lie floor with a black eye in resisting the police." Ot(en was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and a charge of violently resisting Ihe polico was withdrawn.
