WEDDINGS.

The Remnera Methodist Church was the scene of the wedding yesterday afternoon of Miss Isabel Hutchison, younger daughter of Mrs. Hutchison and the late Mr. W. E. Hutchison, of Bassett Road, Remucra, io Mi-. Francis Alfred Lotford, elder son of Mrs. Lctford and the late Mr. Let ford, of Suva, Fiji. Tho Rev. 11. Ryan performed tho ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W. M. Hutchison, wore a frock of ivory sonple satin with long paniers of ivory ninou falling from the waist to the ankles. A spray of silver heads in the form of a fern leaf was embroidered on the bodice and a small spray of orange blossom was worn on one shoulder. Her veil of embroidered tulle was caught round the head with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Kathleen Leighton. cousin of tho bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of mauve georgette with a deep hem of small taffeta petals outlined with mauve silk thread. Her mauve tulle head-dress was finished with small pink rosebuds and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and mauve flowers. 'I lie bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Chrales Letford, as ln'st man.

The marriage was celebrated yesterday afternoon of Miss Rita Clarke, only daughter of Mr. i,n 'l Mrs. S. S. Clarke, of Sliellv Beach Road, Heme Bay, to Mr. Kric Newmesjen. only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Newmegen, of Park Avenue, Grafton. The wedding took place at the residence of the bride's parents, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. A. Mitchell, of St.."John's Methodist Church, IVmsonby. The bride, who was given away bv her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette mounted over salmon pink satin beaute. The skirt was formed with largo picot-edged petals which fell in uneven lines round the hem, and a filmy bow of white tulle at the waist was caught in the centre with a buckle of brilliants. Her veil of very old band-made Limerick laeo formed a long train and was arranged on the bead with a bandeau of nink satin and sprays of orange blossom. The bridal bouquet was of white flowers with touches of r>ale pink. Miss Betty Allsop, of Hamilton, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of sunset shot taffeta with a wide collar and tiered side panels of apricot silk net,, and silver lace medallions on the skirt. Her head-dress was of apricot tulle finished with a band of pink velvet flowers and she carried a bouquet of autumn shaded flowers. Mr. Cecil Bowler was best man.
