Dr. Margaret Knight returned to Auckland yesterday from an overseas visit. As a provincial commissioner for tins Girl Guide movement in Auckland, Dr. Knight came into touch with tho leaders in England and was a guest of Lady Baden-Powell at her home in Hants.

In the form of a surprise part v. tho members of the Howick Tennis Club on Monday evening called at the residence of one of their members. Miss Marjorie Beckett, and presented her with a rose bowl to mark tho occasion of her approaching marriage to Mr. Cyril Gibbs. of Wellington, formerly a member of t]ic Howick Club.

The conference of tho J'resbyferian Women's Missionary Tuion met in session on Monday. A report of the Oriental depot was carried. The headquarters in Duneriin import some very beautiful work, which finds a ready sale among members. In the afternoon a missionary meeting was held, in which the Atlas and Guide was illustrated by a, review of tho different mission fields. After this session a photographic group of the conference was taken, with St. David's Church in the background.
