In the House of Commons to-day Captain Wedgwood Bonn, Labour member for Aberdeen North, asked whether tho consent of the House would be sought before the Postmaster-General leased the beam wireless system.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin: No. It will be done under the general powers of the Post Oflico Act, 1908.

Captain Eenn. Does that mean that the Postmaster-General will do this without the consent of the House and without being permitted to explain why he does it ?

Mr. Baldwin: The leasing of the service is an integral part of the bill to set lip the Communications Company which the House is now discussing.
