TWO BOATS DISQUALIFIED
Two protests arising out of tho combined races on tho opening day of the yachting season in Auckland were dealt with by tho Auckland Yacht and Motor 3>oat Association last evening. In tho races for the 22ft. mullet boat class tho owner of tho Valeria protested against tho lvokiri for failing either to tow or carry her dinghy on opening day. Tho protest was upheld and Kokiri was disqualified, forfeiting two first prizes. An inquiry was held into a collision that occurred between the Star boat June and tho V class boat Mystic. After calljug evidence tho association decided to disqualify Juno for failing to givo Mystic sea room at tho starting-mark when [Mystic had already established an overlap. The Mar.ukau Yacht and Motor Club tvas granted permission to hold the official open championships on the Manukau for tho 18ft. and under classes, 14ft. and under, 12ft 6in. Z cla.is and also speedboats.
Authority was given to the Mamiknu Cruising Club to hold tho championships for the 20ft. and under classes, 16ft. and under classes and tho outboard motor-boat (jliainpioiiship of tho Manukau.
