A match between Shurpo and McCarnell was very evenly contested, each man gaining a fall in turn. j[t ended in a draw. In the contest between 11. Davis (list 61b) and D. A professional contest was licld between Jack McLaughlin, American cruiserweight champion, and Charles Pollard, cruiser-weight champion of Australasia, for a purse of £SO. In tho first round the wrestling was of an even character, but not of a very high class. In the second round, both men started very cautiously.
