SEQUEL TO COLLISION.
CYCLIST AWARDED DAMAGES. The, hearing of a. claim for damages ns tho result of a collision between a motorcar and a bicyclo on the Great North Road, New Lynn, on June 23, was concluded in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday, boforo Mr. E. C, Cutten, S.M. Judgment was given for tho plaintiff, Alfred James Cook, who was riding the bicycle, for £175 and costs, against Jamos P. Lucas, driver of the car. Plaintiff claimed £270 in respect, of personal injuries, which inohjcjccl seven broken ribs, loss of wages for 24 weeks and dnmago 1o his bicycle- Ho alleged defendant; in passing a motor-bus, swerved to the wrong side of tho road at a dangerous pace, striking (ho bicycle, which was on its correct side.
