BEACHED JUST IN TIME.

SINKING NARROWLY AVERTED. (Received November 27, 12.23 n.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 26. A sm;ill coastal steamer, the Excelsior, en route from Lake Macquarie with a cargo of coal, sprang a leak at sea. Slio limped into Sydney Heads to-day and was beached and saved from sinking in tho nick of time.

Tho Excelsior replaced tho White Bay which was wrecked in June. Iho sole survivor of that wreck, an Italian named Grieupcro, is now on board the Excelsior.
