HAMPER FROM AUCKLAND.

Many gifts of money and kind have already been received by Mr. D. L. Thomas, of Domain Road, Mount Albert, who is organising tho annual Christmas hamper from Auckland for the patients at the leper station at Makogai Island, near Fiji. There have already been some hundred gifts of money, many being anonymous. The gifts will have to be despatched bv the steamer Tofua, which leaves Auckland next Monday. The arrival of the annual hamper is an occasion for much rejoicing among tho patients. Ono of the gifts received came from a blind man, who enclosed half-a-crown.
