LAMBING IN CANTERBURY.

Tho lambing this year, said a local farmer last week, was even better than that of last year, and although there had been too many deaths, tho mortality did not appear to hayo been so heavy as it was last season. Tho fact was that (hero would bo a considerable number of lambs to be dealt with this season, more than growers in general seemed to recognise, and this meant that a lot of feed would havo to bo provided for them. Tho number of breeding ewes had increased and so had the number of lambs. '
