OBITUARY.
♦ MR. OLAV PAUSS. SYDNEY. Nov. 22. Tho death occurred yesterday of Mr. Olav Eduard I'auss, Consul for Norway, aged 63. Mr. I'auss was well known in shipping circles. He was managing director for tho Norwegian, Africa and Australia Line's agency. Mr. Olav Eduard Fanss was born in Norway in 1865. He studied in Germany and England, and in 1886 camo to Australia, lie became a shipping agent in Sydney, and interested himself specially in tho Norwegian trade. He was for some tinio Consul for Norway and Sweden, and after the dissolution of the union of the two countries retained the position of Consul for Norway. He also occasion acted as Danish and Swiss Cousin. Ho was a Knight ot the Order of fct. Olav, a Norwegian Order. MR.
